The goal is to match as many Pattrns as you can in the designated time limit. You can play for 1, 2, or 5 minutes.

A Pattrn consists of three tablets where element of the tablet is a valid Pattern. For instance, 3 red tablets is a pattern. A red tablet, blue tablet, and green tablet is a pattern.

Depending on your settings in preferences you will have different elements to match. You may have colors, shapes, fills, and number of shapes on the tablet. In this case you will need to have each element be a proper pattern as described above.

For instance, you could have three red circles, each having a different fill (solid, empty, and hatchmark).

Or you could have solid blue stars but one tablet has 1, the next 2, and the next 3. This is a valid Pattrn.

The easiest way to learn is to leave your preferences at the default ( 12 tablets, 4 colors, 3 shapes, 3 fills, 3 elements) and try it out. Use the "Hint" button or try some selections and it will tell you when you get them wrong and why. This should also help.
